Chetana Children Center (CCC) is
not bordered to any specific
geographical region of Nepal.
However, CCC has chosen Kaski
District and other neighboring
districts as its working area.
It can also be extended to other
areas considering the gravity of
situation and availability of
resources.
How CCC Works with Children?
At first, CCC will select the
area, identify the needy
children and select them. CCC
will work on two basis for the
selected children.
1) Direct Support:
Under this criteria; the
children would be brought to the
Center and looked after their
accommodation, education and
various kinds of trainings and
activities.
Education
Chetana Children Centre provides
education using the private and
public school system of Nepal
for primary and secondary study;
they also provide an appropriate
study area within the centre and
a tutor to assist with homework
and extra curricular activities.
Once the children complete their
School Leaving Certificate (SLC)
between the ages of 16-18,
preparation will be given to the
young adult for independence
living.
Accommodation
CCC provides accommodation for
the children within the centre.
The children are provided with a
safe and clean living
environment which will assist
with their personal development.
Health Care
CCC provides a high standard of
health care with accommodation,
food and medical access. All
children are up to date with
immunizations and are provided
with medial treatment when
necessary.
Other Activities
CCC provides activities to the
children, with toys, books and
outings to various places within
Pokhara.
Access to Family
CCC understands the importance
of the children keeping a
relationship with relatives that
are available with their
communities, so the children
know where they are from and who
their family members are. Access
is given to the children in
school holidays periods and any
other time that is available
during the year; when it does
not interfere with their school
work. CCC staff will activate
this on a minimum of once a year
per child.
2) Indirect Support:
Under this criteria ; the CCC
would provide financial
assistance to the needy in their
respective area ( School Fee ,
Books , Copy , Dress ) . CCC
will monitor their activities
regularly from time to time.
Our First Volunteer
Chetana Children Center had its
first volunteer from France.

4th of December 2004 and stayed
till 21st January 2005. Pascal,
a student of photography had
great interest in ccc’s
development. His sympathy and
best wishes will always be a
guiding force for ccc and its
future.
